October 2015

Did you know...
"The 2014 Quilting in America survey found that there are 16 million active quilters in the country – meaning one out of every 20 Americans. Their buying power each year is $3.76 billion – with “dedicated quilters” spending over $3,200. What I found jaw-dropping was the statistic that dedicated quilters typically own $13,000 in tools and supplies, and their fabric stash is worth close to $6,000."
This is from an article "Quiltonomics" in a blog by James and Jennifer Moore. You can read the whole article at: quiltonomics

year. The Guild gets two spaces. Cards and Opportunity Quilt tickets
go on one side and guild member crafts are displayed for sale in
the rest of the space.

Guild
members are invited to sell any crafts (sorry, no edibles) they make.
Ten per cent of the selling price goes to the guild, the rest to the
maker.
The guild has a great reputation for fine crafts.
