Program
Here is the exciting finale of the
Telephone Art Quilt.
Team Three started with a unicorn in a circle.
Ginny reproduced the unicorn in a forest.
MJ put a circle of fairies in her forest.
Beth took the circle and made it mystical with embroidery.
Bev took the circle and stamped it into a sunny day in India complete with an elephant.
Kathy made the sun a sunset in silk.
No bears in this group. Just unicorns and an elephant.
Ginny Duhm did a truly great job organizing the event
and even made two quilts.
Ginny explained how making a unicorn quilt wasn't especially exciting for her personally until she reached into her Bible and found the symbolism of everything in her quilt. Then it became meaningful to her and moving to us to hear her process.
Kudos to Gin!

Comfort Zone
This month's big event is the Darlene Memorial Sew In on the 5th Wednesday of June.
Darlene acquired a very impressive fabric stash which she was unable to use before she passed away. Her husband, Dave,
donated 378 yards of quality material for Comfort Zone
and other quilt guild projects.
So join us on June 29 from 9 to 3 at the Pool Pavilion for a day of making "Pillowcase Totebags."
We've opened this event to all, so bring your friends.
Bring your sewing machine and your enthusiasm.
We will provide lunch and a lot of prizes.
Don't forget the 4th Wednesday of June is our regular Comfort Zone workshop at the Pool pavilion from 9 to 3, June 22.

Tip of the Month
From Beth Worrell...
We've lost two of our nearby quilt shops recently. Quilt shop owners say they see customers come in to their shops, look at fabric, take photos of the bolt end and leave the shop to go home and order the fabric on line.
If you see the fabric you want in a quilt shop,
buy it from the quilt shop.
We need to keep them in business.

Here's a tutorial on reducing hand fatigue when using scissors. Good to know in advance of the Paisley Bear class in September.
