President's Message

May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!

It's hard to believe that another year has gone by.  And it's been a good one for us.  Our Quilt Show in May was a smashing success.  Talented guild members won ribbons at the Kern County Fair and not just for quilting. Our Opportunity Quilts found a good home.  We reached our Comfort Zone goal.  And we had fun all year.
Thank you for having me as your president.

A Jolly Holiday Was Had by All

Once again the Scrappers had a splendid Christmas party.  Margaret Arroyo and her crew decorated beautiful tables (thanks, Sally Glenn for the Santa faces) and organized the best potluck on the mountain.  The Mountain Communities Resource Center sends their thanks for the food and the toys---really great toys--we donated for the holidays.

We had a lot of guests.  We had lots of prizes.  We had lots of laughs.  What we didn't have was anything made from Jello.

Some of the blocks we made for Linda Morton and Sonia Ricoy.
